Jon Heyman fell for the bait hook line and sinkerSay what you will about the Houston Astros and their fanbase, but they have really mastered the art of needling both casual fans and the national media alike, as they have started to relish their role as MLB bad boys.
One Astros fans managed to fool MLB insider Jon Heyman completely by tweeting out a graphic that suggests the Astros are the most talked-about team in New York and southern California on the social networking platform, a reference to angry Yankees and Dodger fans who lost out on titles due to Houston's illegal acts. Heyman thought the map was real.

As much as Yankees and Dodgers fans want to deny it, we're in the middle of May 2020, and those fanbases are still pining for a reversal of playoff series that happened three years ago. Maybe Astros fans are righ about this whole rent-free thing.
Whenever you see this map or anything else similar that pokes fun at the Yankees or Dodgers while pumping up the Astros, don't fall for it. It's just meant to get you riled up.

Jon Heyman (born February 7, 1961 in Santa Fe, New Mexico) is an insider for MLB Network and regularly contributes to WFAN and Entercom Radio. He writes primarily about baseball. Heyman is also a baseball insider for WFAN Radio in New York.[1]
Early years[edit]
Heyman was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico and grew up in Cedarhurst, New York. He had his bar mitzvah at Temple Sinai in Lawrence, New York in 1974[2] and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1979. He graduated from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism in 1983. He lived in Southern California in the 1980s writing for the 'Daily Breeze.'
Professional career[edit]
Heyman began his professional career as a sports writer with The Daily Dispatch in Moline, Illinois.
Heyman spent 16 years at Newsday, where he served as the New York Yankees beat writer, baseball columnist and general sports columnist. In 1999 and 2000 Heyman was a baseball columnist for The Sporting News.
Heyman joined Sports Illustrated in July 2006. Heyman usually reported on baseball news year-round and wrote a baseball notes column called The Daily Scoop for SI.com, which appeared most weekdays during the baseball season and twice a week during the offseason. Heyman also frequently wrote the 'Inside Baseball' column in the magazine.
In 2009, Heyman joined the newly launched MLB Network as a baseball insider.
Heyman has also appeared on numerous radio and TV programs, including Mike and the Mad Dog, The Michael Kay Show, Quite Frankly with Stephen A. Smith, Mike'd Up and Jim Rome is Burning.
In December 2011, it was announced that Heyman would be leaving Sports Illustrated to cover baseball for CBS Sports, following the 2011 MLB Winter Meetings.[3]
In January 2016, it was announced that Heyman was leaving CBS.
