With EDU Notebooks in Microsoft OneNote, you can save a copy of your notebook to OneDrive to keep a backup or share it with others.
Save to a Microsoft Account
A step-by-step tutorial on how to use a OneNote Staff Notebook in Microsoft Teams. This is built-in to the Staff Team, and combines OneNote with Microsoft Te. Staff Notebook is part of OneNote for Microsoft 365. Each one includes a Content Library for staff leaders to share resources, a Collaboration Space where all staff can work together, and a section group for each staff member that only that staff member and the notebook co-owners can see.
- Navigate to OneNote.com and enter valid credentials for sign in. 
- Click on the EDU Notebooks tab you want. 
- Navigate to the notebook you want to save, right click on it, and click the Save a copy option. - Note: If a dialogue box appears asking for you to allow OneNote to access your info, click Yes to continue. 
- The Save a copy dialogue box will open. Select Save to a Microsoft Account. 
- A Microsoft sign in screen will appear. Login with a Microsoft/Outlook account. 
- After a successful login, you will be asked to confirm that you want to proceed. Click on Copy notebook. 
- After confirming you will see the following message. 
- To check that the notebook was copied to your account correctly, navigate to OneDrive and sign in with the account you just saved the EDU Notebook to. 
- Open the Notebooks folder to verify the EDU Notebook is there.

How To Set Up Staff Notebook In Teams

- Navigate to OneNote.com and enter valid credentials for sign in. 
- Click on the EDU Notebooks tab you want. 
- Navigate to the notebook you want to save, right click on it, and click the Save a copy option. - Note: If a dialogue box appears asking for you to allow OneNote to access your info, click Yes to continue. 
- The Save a copy dialogue box will open. Select Save to your work or education account. 
- You'll see the following success message. 
- Navigate to OneDrive and sign in with the account you just saved the EDU Notebook to. 
- Open the Notebooks folder to verify the EDU Notebook is there. 

IMPORTANT

- Save a Copy works only if section size is less than 250 MB. 
- Save a Copy to a 'work/school account' only works for file sizes less than 2 GB. 
Staff Notebook is part of OneNote for Microsoft 365. Each one includes a Content Library for staff leaders to share resources, a Collaboration Space where all staff can work together, and a section group for each staff member that only that staff member and the notebook co-owners can see. Staff leaders and members can access their Staff Notebooks from any device using the OneNote app.
Note: You need administrator permissions in Microsoft 365 to create Staff Notebooks. Ask your IT professional if you’re not sure.
- Sign in to Office.com with your school email and password. 
- Select the App menu (9 squares inside a square), then select All apps, then Staff Notebook. 
- Follow the instructions to set up your notebook, selecting Next to navigate between steps or to skip a step. You'll name the notebook, add people who can use it, and set up notebook sections your team will use. 
- Select Create. 

Your Staff Notebook is ready! Use the link on this page to open your notebook in OneNote. The staff members and co-owners you added will receive an email with a link to their notebook.
